Welcome back everyone. Hopefully this morning finds you returning rested and ready to power through the last month or so of school! The week is kicking off right with the Deming Center’s annual celebration of entrepreneurship on Monday night. Several internships are also available with the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, a link to which is provided below.


On Campus This Week …


The Deming Center Presents, “Entrepreneurship Under the Microscope”

You’re invited to Entrepreneurship Under the Microscope, the Deming Center’s annual celebration of CU-Boulder entrepreneurship co-hosted with the CU Technology Transfer Office. Join for networking, refreshments, the latest on new inventions across campus, and a brief keynote from Todd Woloson, Managing Director at Greenmont Financial and the former President/CEO of IZZE.

Boulder New Tech

The monthly meetup for all things tech and entrepreneurship. Free with an option to donate.

On the Horizon …

The Maven Summit

Your life is passing you by!  Get away from those daily distractions, and join the Maven Summit for a weekend of mindfulness and craftsmanship in the beautiful backcountry of Boreas Pass, CO.  Take advantage of the outdoors: write, draw, get deep with fellow Mavens, go on guided hikes and learn woodworking from special guest Austin Aaron (founder of Dancing Grains Woodworks).  All while in the company of 11 inspiring peers!
Where: Boreas Pass, CO (5 miles outside of Breckenridge)
When: April 12th (5pm) to April 14th (12pm)
Who: 12 Mindful Mavens — space is limited, sign up now.
Details: StartUp CU member Sam Solie will provide the cabin (wood stove, composting toilets, a mattress for you to sleep on), food and drink (all meals prepared and paid for by us), guided hikes, woodworking sessions (including making your own spoon!), medical knowledge (both hosts are certified Wilderness First Responders), video/picture documentation of the trip (check out the videos on the front page of their site as an example) and will help organize transportation to and from the trailhead.

UCAR Internships in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and Community Engagement

The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is internationally known for the excellence of its science, engineering, and educational programs, as well as the quality of community support it provides. UCAR carries out its mission through its management and support of the National Science Foundation’s federally funded research and development center, the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), UCAR Community Programs (UCP), and Spark Science Education, which UCAR Finance and Administration considers to be its customers and internal partners.

Timeline: June 10 to August 2

Pay: $13.50/hr
