GEA and CUEnergy Welcome Peter Fusaro

The Graduate Entrepreneurs Association and the CU Energy club, with the help of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, are happy to welcome Peter Fusaro, a global leader in the clean energy revolution.

Peter will be in Boulder to speak at the Sustainable Opportunities Summit in Denver, March 2-4. Thanks to his relationship with the Deming Center, we are fortunate to have him coming to campus for some more personal interaction with CU-Boulder students.

Below is Peter’s bio, which illuminates just how much he has accomplished and why you should come to this visit if you are interested in addressing the challenges that face our world in terms of energy and the environment.

Peter C. Fusaro is Chairman of Global Change Associates a financial services advisory in New York and is the best selling author of What Went Wrong at Enron and 14 other books on energy and the environmental financial markets. Peter is an energy industry thought leader noted for his keen insights in emerging energy and environmental financial markets.  He has been on the forefront of energy and environmental change for over 34 years focusing on oil, gas, power, coal, emissions, carbon trading and renewable energy markets. Peter is currently advising on carbon trading and finance as well as clean energy technology arena to financial services companies. During Peter’s long career in clean energy, he has worked with the US EPA in taking the lead out of gasoline, establishing the New York World Trade Center’s energy efficiency programs, and advising the Toyota Prius team on hybrid vehicles. Peter was selected for Who’s Who in America for 2007-2010 and Who’s Who World for 2010. He coined the term “Green Trading” and holds the Wall Street Green Trading Summit with Reuters in New York each spring (www.wsgts.com). He is also a well known expert on Asia Pacific energy and environmental financial markets. He co-founded the Energy Hedge Fund Center LLC (www.energyhedgefunds.com) in 2004. Peter graduated with an MA in international relations from Tufts University and a BA from Carnegie-Mellon University.
